The Quote

Here is the quote I mis-quoted in one of my posts. "We are well advised to keep on nodding terms with the people we used to be, whether we find them attractive company or not. Otherwise they turn up unannounced and surprise us, come hammering on the mind's door at 4am of a bad night and demand to know who deserted them, who betrayed them, who is going to make amends. We forget all too soon the things we thought we could never forget." --- Joan Didion

JP - I work in personal injury which means car wrecks, medical malpractice, slip/fall, and wrongful death. Plus stuff that no one else wants like insurance cases involving product liability and fire damage. We also have gotten involved in toxic mold. I also do Social Security. I also tutor the boss's daughter in German. I think I need a raise.

Vader: Its from "Pirates of the Carribean." Kitties are still sick and are now mad at me because I gave them medicine. Oh well.

    JP: Are you a lawyer?

Negative...I'm a paralegal. I make about $5k a year less than the associates here and don't have to work 70 hours a week. They can keep the $5k. :o)

Love this quotation. And I'm well-acquainted with the phenomenon.
